"No, Axel!”
Lea blinked, watching Roxas put his hand over his chest and stomp.  “I just got my heart back!  I’m not gonna risk it going through another one of those!”
And Lea’s eyes followed his accusatory point towards the Corridor of Darkness that Lea had, totally naturally and without any thought, summoned to bring them back to Yen Sid’s to sort things out.  “Wh--I mean I get that, but you’re wearing the coat,” Lea pointed out, stymied.
“Doesn’t matter!”
“He’s right!” came a high-pitched voice that made Lea roll his eyes and rub his temples, groaning.  “Ya shouldn’t be puttin’ yourselves so close to the darkness!  Not after all this!” the king insisted, frowning and crossing his tiny mouse arms.
Lea crooked an eyebrow at Xion questioningly, and she replied with a resigned shrug, using her eyes and a cant of her head to draw his attention to the fact that the others had stopped and were looking their way.
Annnnd now they were making a scene.  Lea shook his head, sighing in a rustling way and pinching off the portal with a flick of his wrist.  “Fine, fine fine.  We’ll do it your way.  This once,” he added to King Mickey, with a finger held up for emphasis.
Ten minutes later, and after some very hasty modifications to those Gummi ships that were available to bring back everyone who didn’t possess what Lea was apparently supposed to believe was some kind of Keyblade glider, Lea sat strapped in with his stomach lurching against Mickey’s carefree driving.  A chime and a disturbance at his hip made him twitch, and Roxas to his left made a curious noise and started looking around.  “What was that noise?”
“That’s just me,” Lea said, squirming and with some difficulty tugging the blocky Gummiphone from his coat pocket.
Immediately, Roxas and Xion leaned around their seats to see.  “Whoa!” “What’s that?”
Lea let out a long-suffering sigh.  “It’s...”
Then he paused, turning to look at them both. Â They blinked curiously, waiting patiently for his answers, and Lea observed to himself with a little twist of anguish that some things never changed.
It took some time to explain the concept, so by the time Lea was finally able to check on the messages, quite a few had come in.
