*WARNING: RAMBLE ALERT & MINI REVIEW* ••• Hai my sweet precious #bookies💕 || I hope you guys had an awesome weekend & the Monday blues didn't getcha down too much!!! Thank you guys for hanging in there with me when I don't post for a few days....life & reading of course!! 📚 ••• So as you know from a few posts back I started to read The Goldfinch with my friends @bookiewithoutborders @i.reads & @theclubofbooks.....sigh.....🙈. Two of them have forged on ahead with the reading like troopers {sending you guys more 🍨🍧🍦🍰😉. I'm proud!} and myself & the other have thrown in the white flag lol. ••• I really wanted to love it. I had heard so many good things about it, but anytime I feel like I'm forcing myself to read it's time to stop😔. I did make it to page 315. It's an 800 pager. I'm not intimidated by that at all. Slow plots can be great, but for me, it was just TOO slooooooooow & full of these very unnecessary, long drawn out mundane details😩. ••• Although many parts were beautifully written, I felt alot of things were WAY overstated. I do plan on going back to it but NOT in the near future 😂. Photo'd here is Salt to the Sea....Im also buddy reading with @teariffic.books I'm on page 106 & yes it is EVERYTHING!!! I just realized *sorry for being late to the party on this* but Instagram has a minimum so when I go to view my likes, follows & comments, it actually cuts off at a certain number or am I crazy? ●●● It's like I don't see them sometimes until I go back to the photo. I'm a teeny weeny account 😅 so I can't imagine what the big accounts go through ~ cut them some slack lol. Seriously. People are quick to unfollow you when you don't follow them RIGHT back and it may be just a matter of the follow/comment etc. not being seen. ●●● Also I'm not getting notification alerts 😕 What the heck? Book-tag time! Thank-you @booksmiles for tagging me to do the #ditchthejacket tag. These are just a few of my all time favourite novels. Cinder is the first in The Lunar Chronicles and I LOVE them so much. The Wrath and The Dawn is my weakness, truly. An Ember in The Ashes is amazing and the gold hardback is to die for and Snow Like Ashes; this book is fantastic and I'm sad to see it coming to an end this year.
