Dispatch x DP - Z-Team Phantom
Blonde Blazer claps her hands once and smiles brightly at the Team. "So! Congratulations, everyone, on doing so well the last month. I know things have been... A little crazy, with the clean up, but I'm really proud of all the work you've done."
"So, what, we get a pizza party or something?" Sonar says, gesturing to the boxes in the middle of the conference table.
"Hey, never turn down free food!" Invisigal quips, grabbing a slice of meat lovers from her spot next to Robert. "But - yeah, whats actually going on?"
Blazer smiles sheepishly. "Well, I have good news for you all! You will be getting a new team member."
"Another one?" Prism frowns. "Miss Blazer, there's already a lot of us with Visi and Sonar back on the team. Are you sure?"
Robert leans in. "I think it's a good idea, actually. From what I understand, he's a new hero who needs someone to show him the ropes, rather than a full member."
Blazer nods. "That's right. Phantom isn't a former villain, he's a hero who has... We'll call it an optics problem. He won't be a permanent member of SDN, he has his own territory to cover, but he's here to learn and repair his reputation."
"Right, so when do we get to meet the bugger?" Punch Up asks around his bite of pizza.
Blazer grins. "He's here now, actually. Phantom?"
From the thin air, a soft fluff of white hair pokes out behind her shoulder, followed by big green eyes and a black and white suit. "Hi." He waves, floating shyly out into the open. "I'm Phantom .. uh, you can call me Danny."
"Uh, BB, that's a kid," Golem rumbles. "Like, a whole kid."
Danny shakes his head rapidly. "No, no, I'm... I'm like 25. I look 14 cause I died at 14... For sure." He grins, fingers tapping nervously on his arm. "I'm... A ghost." His form flickers in and out of view.
Robert stands up and offers his hand to Danny. "Well, welcome to the team, Danny."
