male paramedics—not that women don’t get harassed in this line of duty, i’m not trying to downplay it for women—get harassed on duty the worst from both sides of the gender spectrum.
not even an hour into shift and this 65 year old male patient is trying to grab my ass while i was preforming the preliminary exam in his home, then tries to undress me after we get him into the rig. anytime i stand up to grab a bag or try to do anything, their hands are on me in some form. it started with a hand, then it was trying to pull my pants off.
old men at some point just don’t care what gender, they just want it. it’s really hard to handle while trying to do BLS.
