"Karlii was the only person involved in murdering innocents"
There's this little thing called being an accessory to murder. It means a person who is involved or is an accomplice to a murderer. Who aids and assists them in the act of murder. The law holds such people co-equally guilty with the actual murderer.
Every single one of the Flagshmashers sat around the day after Karlii killed multiple innocent people and discussed who to kill next. Not one of them raised a moral objection to her actions or said it was wrong.
Also, as far as not showing remorse goes, Karlii was shown smiling and laughing at a news report about the people she had killed. She later goes on to coldly justify her atrocity to Sam no less by calling them "roadblocks in her path" and saying she's happily kill again.
The others are, again, complicit in this. None of them say they should stop killing. None of them say they are targeting the wrong people. (Warehouse Workers aren't part of the problem).
Its not a matter of "using the actions of a few to justify the destruction of an entire group". The g*nocide comparison is actually fucking vile. The Flag-Smashers aren't being "genocided": they're not innocents being targeted because of their association with Karlii. They are her willing accomplices. Also notable Karlii is the one who engages in dehumanization of her victims - which is one of the precursors to genocide.
People hate them not just because they are *all* complicit in the murder of innonents, but because that act is entirely contrary to what they profess to stand for and represent.
Imagine for example if there was a Robin Hood movie in which Robin decided to burn down a church with dozens of women and children trapped inside because The Sheriff of Nottingham stored his tax money which he'd stolen from the people there.
The next day, he and his men formulate a plan to kidnap and murder the sheriff's young son as a way to "send a message" to him because killing children isn't wrong. They just killed a ton of children and nobody objected. The movie ends with Robin and all his men being caught and hanged.
Robin Hood fans say the movie is about the genocide of Robin and his men, and they're not bad people. This is what Sam Stans are doing.
