Igor and Scraps from Carpe Jugulum
Potential corset speech to give at the museum:
"Have any of you ever worn a corset? I have, and it was perfectly fine- that's because it fit me and was only pulled as tight as I found comfortable. As you can see here, though, there were fads for tightlacing, which aimed to make the waist as small as possible, leaving you out of breath and potentially hurting your ribs. Unfortunately, body types still go in and out of fashion today- curvy or stick-straight, muscular or delicate- and society can be very cruel to those who don't fit the type of the moment. That's a sadly common version of what I spoke about before, how people can treat others who don't fit their definition of normal."
Just had a realization while reading Discworld’s TV Tropes page:
Igors and Igorinas would be amazing for gender affirming surgery, considering how skilled they are.
It’d be like this comic/meme/thing for all the trans people of the Discworld who go for it:
John Keel, Sally von Humpeding, A.E. Pessimal, Igor
I finally scanned my Discworld Inktober drawings from last year, because I’m getting them printed into a zine! Character #21 was John Keel, who I had to include even though he technically barely shows up in person, and then I moved on to folks who were heavily featured in Thud! Technically, Igor is in both The Fifth Elephant and Night Watch, but I think I accidentally forgot him when I was drawing up my list for the month... But all’s well that ends well, because he turned out to be one that I had a lot of fun with when it came to little details.
Check out the Kickstarter for the zine [here]!
(The Kickstarter has been successfully funded! If you’re interested in getting a copy of the zine for yourself, the project page now essentially allows you to pre-order it, plus some fun extras if future stretch goals are unlocked...)

Tools of the trade
Recent faves as i continue to binge discworld, Otto Chriek the vampire photographer and Igor, part of Ankh-Morpork’s city watch forensics department.
go my freakies
I have been working in a "vaccines are great!" comment when I talk about smallpox on museum tours, and so far it's gone over well.
