💡 Smart Vocabulary, Smarter You 🧠

At first glance, this looks like a very wise dog. Look closer, and you’ll see it’s made up of words like astute, discerning, sagacious, keen, and erudite. In other words: this dog isn’t just cute. It’s intellectually intimidating.

This image is a reminder that intelligence isn’t about using big words for the sake of it. It’s about choosing the right ones. Each word here captures a slightly different shade of “smart”:

Keen sees quickly.

Discerning notices what others miss.

Astute understands situations deeply.

Erudite reflects knowledge earned over time.

Together, they form a portrait of thoughtful awareness—proof that vocabulary isn’t just decoration, it’s precision.

Whether you’re writing an essay, crafting a college application, or just trying to sound less like a thesaurus gone rogue, expanding your word choice gives you more ways to express how you think, not just what you think.

So yes, this is a dog made of smart words. But it’s also a challenge: Read more. Learn more. Choose words that actually mean what you want to say.

The Gifts 🎁 of the Holy Spirit

The Bible 📖 talks about the Gifts of the Spirit in the First Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the Corinthians. In chapter 12 of this Epistle, Paul mentions that there are diversities of gifts. In total, there are 9 gifts mentioned in the passage. The 9 gifts are mentioned in verses 8 to 10.

8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

It is important to understand that once someone gives their life to Jesus, there is a change of mind. When you give your life to Jesus and repent of your sins, the Holy Spirit will come upon you. The Holy Spirit will teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever Jesus has said unto us (John 14:26). By God, our inward man is renewed day by day (2 Corinthians 4:16). And together with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit within us, comes a change of mind and a different behaviour. We will bear new and “good” fruits and be given diversities of gifts. The Holy Spirit is really important since we can say that Jesus is the Lord (2 Cor. 12:3). We are called to profit one another (v.7).
