Date #01
There are over 1,500 dating sites/apps right there at the tip of your fingers. Within seconds you can create your profile and start swiping left or right on someoneās picture. Skimming through bios, scrolling through pictures, trying to figure out if that person could possibly be your soulmate. This year alone, there have been over 20 million people who have resorted to online dating. Thatās a lot of people trying to find their other half in this crazy world.
Now, for starters, Iāve always been kind of skeptical about meeting a complete stranger online, even if they live a half hour away. I recently downloaded the app that everyone knows to be the place to meet people to hook up, or find their next relationship, Tinder. After swiping through profiles and matching with a list of potential guys, and messaging back and forth, I matched with a guy who was about 40 minutes away from me. We started messaging back and forth, kind of getting to know each other. The next day, he suggested we hang out since it was the weekend, I agreed. Things started out amazing and I was thinking that this might actually be a pretty great match. Little did I know I was well on my way to being one of those women from a Lifetime movie, you know, the movies where the girl falls for the stranger she meets and he turns out to be some kind of creepy, controlling stalker with a dark past and locks her up in the basement to keep her all to himself and away from the outside world? Yeah, it was pretty cringy. By day two he was already trying to talk about being together forever. He kept talking about āweā this and āweā that like āWEā were married and Iāve only know this guy for two whole days. I tried to brush it off but it just got worse. Day three I had went to his place to stay for the weekend. And by this time he was already trying to move me in. I literally went over to his house and he had bought shampoo/conditioner/body wash/razors/toothbrush/toothpaste/deodorant..etc. just for me..but the weird thing is, it was the exact same as what I useā¦all of it. That means when he used my bathroom, he went through all of my stuff. Day four is when he started smothering me even more and trying to control me. I would catch him looking over my shoulder when I was on my phone. If we werenāt sitting by each other I would catch him out of the corner of my eye just staring at me for about ten minutes at a time. Day five he was watching me sleep. I know this because he literally told me the next morning after I woke up to him smelling my hair. Day six I knew I had to cut it off completely, and I did. I told him I needed to go home, I grabbed my bag and ran. I donāt know about you guys, but he seems a little tooā¦.creepy and weird to me.
Iām going to post a new horrifying date experience every week. Be sure to send in yours or someone elseās experiences as well. I will post them anonymously unless youād like to be tagged. Stay safe out thereš¤

The Belly Rub
So I met this guy at the club and he seemed decent enough. We talked for a bit and eventually agreed to exchange numbers and go on a date. After a few weeks of texting back and forth we agreed to meet for coffee.
We sit down, begin talking and somehow the conversation steers to marriage and children. He asks me, if I have kids:
āNoā I respond
āWhy not, you should have children by nowā
āI would like to be married firstā I respond
Then, he looks up, stares me in the eyes, puts his hand on my stomach and begins rubbing my belly and with a straight face he says, āDonāt you want to have my children. You should marry me so you can have my childrenā all the while, continuing to rub my stomach.
