@dirtykhan liked for a short sentence starter
Leonard doesn’t turn his back on Khan, not even when he steps away from where the augment sits, restrained, on the bio-bed. The doctor is far too aware of how all the tools within his med bay (traditionally used to heal) can be utilized as weapons.
“...don’t move.” He states, a veneer of calm keeping the edge off his voice. They’ve struck an uneasy alliance, but Leonard is all-too-aware of the ruthless measures Khan seems willing to take. A sob story about his family does nothing to lessen the CMO’s cautious nature. “...I have to run a few more tests. You bloodwork is.... resisting analysis, if you can believe it.”
And ain’t that just typical.
it’s hard to miss the guy standing there, but jim’s ignored him in favor of finishing his workout. “has anyone ever told you that most people don’t like to be watched from the shadows like that? it’s creepy.” kirk finally acknowledges khan’s presence. fresh out of the pool, he’s just toweled off his hair. the rest of his body drips water onto the pool deck as kirk makes his way to the locker room. “what d’you want?” // @dirtykhan punched it.
You have Bones down perfectly. His attitude, his care for others, all topped off with a great bit of sass. It's wonderful!

Thank you so very much!! It means a great deal to me to hear that readers feel I am doing Leonard’s characterization justice. He’s such a layer, nuanced person, but he is often written as two-dimensional in books, scripts, and elsewhere. My sincerest hope is that I can communicate the complexity of what makes him an amazing part of the Star Trek Canon. I appreciate you so much!!!
⚄ - Do you play videogames? Have a favourite?
Munday Meme Extraordinaire || @dirtykhan
// I actually don’t, unfortunately. I was never really into any video games over the years. I mean, we had a PS2 for quite a long time and my cousins actually had a Nintendo 64. I still also currently have my Nintendo DS Lite from a long time ago. But my favorite game that I ever played was Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. It was so exciting to have gotten that for Christmas and begin playing it. I especially loved playing Darth Vader in the beginning. But alas, video games are not my thing so you won’t see me playing them often. Instead I’m on here roleplaying. ;)

He hadn’t known what to expect. That was the irony: he was unsure of himself, whether his counterpart would lash out or fight, if the curse of the doppelgänger would arise and there’d lie an unrelenting urge to eliminate the other. Khan had not felt that animalistic drive to preserve himself when he’d found the other, a mirror image bleeding out in Section 31. Perhaps his double was a sick experiment conducted by Starfleet’s off the record base– or something stranger. All he’d known was an explosion without sound, a light that blinded him through his eyelids; and he’d awoken with more of him than he’d counted before.
There hadn’t been time to complete his mission, and he’d made the choice to take double instead. Every test ran pointed to the same result: this creature, this mirror image, was constructed entirely as he was. So he’d waited, treating the other on a stolen sleeper ship, waiting. Naseaus, and waiting.
“It seems that I am you, and you are me. Neither of us are dreaming, as far as I am aware.”

“What have they done to you?”
Ask Meme
How much time had passed since the whole ordeal started?
To be brutally honest, Leonard had no idea. Didn’t know when or how he had got into this, why it did. Couldn’t quite recall the last day he had spent in freedom, being constantly surrounded by the foggy smell of rotten flesh and antiseptics, and embraced by utter darkness.
Was it because the blindfold over his eyes? Was there a blindfold at all? Did he still have all of his limbs? Was he alright?
—He didn’t know.
Everything hurt, without a single exception, to the point of various parts of his body simply going numb due to the lack of blood supply and constant pain. He was vaguely aware of the chains digging into his wrists, keeping him upright forcefully, head hanging with his chin limply touching his naked chest. His eyes were… closed? Open? Existent, non-existent? For god’s sake, he didn’t know!
There was a twitch of his muscles as the dull sound of an opening door crossed the room, echoing off of the stony walls, throbbing within his head like the worst headache Leonard had ever experienced. But he didn’t react otherwise. Didn’t look up, didn’t verbally greet whoever just entered. Was it starting again? Would they try another drug, another knife, another– He couldn’t bring himself to finish the started thought, couldn’t force himself to care. He didn’t, anymore. Simply accepted his face, basically knowing he wasn’t going to escape it, anyways. Just endure and embrace it; swallow it, like he understood. That was it, wasn’t it? That was the spirit of surviving.
Why did he still want to survive? Why did he still fight? Why did they still keep him alive? As an experimentation victim, of course. Silly question. It seemed as if the doctor shook his head once, in an attempt to answer to his own silent question with pure sarcasm. Stupid Len, stupid, stupid. Of course they wouldn’t just kill him off as long as his heart was strong enough to supply his body with enough blood to function somewhat properly.
There was a voice, though. A voice that did not belong to any of the men and women playing their stupid games with him. Or was it just that? Another stupid game, another test, some kind of weird, twisted way to get him to break even further? He didn’t know, didn’t want to know, as he didn’t even answer. Simply hung there, chained to both, the ceiling and the ground, without any strength left. Just waiting. Waiting for the next pain to sear through his body, destroy his skin, his organs, or… whatever they wanted to try this time. Or maybe he was simply hallucinating? Dreaming? His mind attempting to cope with the trauma by projecting a familiar voice into his surroundings, perhaps even the figure, if he would ever bother to open his eyes and look up?
Did it matter anymore…?
—He supposed not.
