For a tasty plant-based take on chicken fingers, try these Vegan Sesame Tofu Fingers. They're tasty, crispy, and great for dipping!
Ingredients: 1 block firm tofu, pressed and drained. 1/4 cup soy sauce. 2 tablespoons maple syrup. 1 tablespoon sesame oil. 1 tablespoon rice vinegar. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon ground ginger. 1/2 cup cornstarch. 2 tablespoons sesame seeds. 2 green onions, thinly sliced for garnish.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 400F 200C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut the tofu into finger-sized strips. In a shallow dish, whisk together soy sauce, maple syrup, sesame oil, rice vinegar, garlic powder, and ground ginger. In another shallow dish, place the cornstarch. Dip each tofu strip into the soy sauce mixture, then coat evenly with cornstarch. Place the coated tofu strips on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the tofu strips. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until crispy and golden brown. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
