The US has, at the current moment, been plagued by people such as Bernie Sanders, Mamdani, and AOC due to how much actual class consciousness has been lacking in the US proletariat. We are seeing the failures of these so-called leaders, and we are seeing many becoming disillusioned with these figures. We are seeing the further splitting within the social-democracy movement as the right wing upholds and continues to collaborate with fascism while the left wing is made up of the disillusioned but not yet fully revolutionary proletariat who are seeking to combat the rise of fascism but lack the actual tactics and consciousness to do so.
