From 4.30.19 "Fruit" is about falling in love. Here's a snippet of the beginning. I wrote a way more complicated set of riffs and changes for this song, and here you see a pared down version of what I'm playing for a different feel/sound that is more vocal focused. At the time I wrote this originally, sometime around 2008 - 2010, I was influenced by an album by Hit The Lights, called "This Is A Stick Up..." I wrote this song top to bottom, the first line was the first word I wrote: "Oh, the spotlight's on us The delicate silhouette of You and me, close -- I'm asking for your hand in my dreams As simple as it seems, this ain't easy, but You already know... Look into my eyes, Staring at the apple at yourself-- Forbidden fruit put on the highest shelf. Distress, I just wanna see your best, Go ahead and tease me. Can we put this to the test?
