So I've just come back home from camp and it was such a surreal experience. This camp is hosted by a youth group under Wesley Mission called DIGJC, Disciples Impacting this Generation for Jesus Christ, and the theme was 'home'. What I experienced at this camp was so amazing and it made me realise that this journey home towards God is something I really want to take. From these past 4 days I've learnt that there is a larger presence at work in our life, and He makes everything perfect, he has a plan for us. So everything that we do is in accordance with this plan and everything we do should also be done to honour our God. I think the main thing I got out of this camp was the importance of sisterhood as well as realising that there is a place that for all of us in heaven no matter what we've done, all we need to do is take that one step to believe and to meet Jesus. Coming to this camp I thought it would be like talking about going to church and basically like a religion lesson, but it was actually just worshipping and honouring God in a way I've never thought possible. I've never seen a group of young people so humbled and dedicated to giving their life to God. Worshipping the Lord and all he has done is something that I'll never forget. Being in a room with people so passionate about their faith, people who are singing and so overcome by the Lord's presence, there is a sense of power and calm that comes from that and the feelings I got out of worship is something I'll never forget. I think over these past 4 days, I've really changed both emotionally and spiritually and this camp is one of these experiences I'll never forget. I can't say that I've come home fully, but compared to where I was that first day of camp, it just amazing, and I know one day I'll be able to say I've finally come home.
