New pedal day - Digitech X Series Digiverb! ๐๐ต๐ โ
My very first pedal, back in 2001, was a Digitech X Series Hyper Phase, followed by the Metal Master. While I canโt say that either of them sounded particularly *good*, theyโve got very unique characteristics that make them incredibly playable and fun. โ
So now +20 years later Iโm recollecting some of the gems of this series! The clear favorite being their Digidelay, Iโve got two! Most of the X series pedals resell for under a hundred dollars making them affordable options for some cool sounds. โ
I think Iโm most excited to have the reverse reverb setting on the Digiverb running along with the reverse delay setting on the Digidelay, and then mixing the two signals with the parallel v series utility switch Iโm currently building! โ
One of the interesting things about the X Series is the obvious materials change that occurred in the mid 00s. Earlier models are heavy and very clunky, whereas later models changed the housing material to something so much lighter they feel comically underweight, especially compared to their older siblings.
