Pixel is so funny cause at one point she and Vee were the main ship because I thought cherrytoons was lame as hell for not being a standard “romantic” ship and I felt calling it strictly romantic was disingenuous so I was like “Yeah let’s put Vee in a toxic romance with an AI cause that’s better” (also a friend of mine had a cooler Ace ship in my eyes so there was that)
So cherrytoons was like, a side quest I was embarrassed about
But then THEN book 7 reared its head and I was like
“Oooh Pixel buddy pal….you’re outta here”
It was a wake up call and I finally was comfortable enough to have cherrytoons (and later cardtoons) to be finalized as canon
Then I proceeded to never talk about Pixel again for like WEEKS
Bro they would’ve HATED me
I gave them happiness just to rip it away for some Ginger and to make matters worse I decided to make them have a thing for Deuce as well just to DOUBLE the pain for no fucking reason besides whimsy
