Just finished cyber sleuth and uh, wow okay. So like kinda confused as the ending fizzled... like really fizzled. You basically fight a possessed god who then promptly fucks off because there was no other way to resolve the conflict, which is bad design, and then when everything is going to get reset and be made almost completely pointless you die. 

I actually like the dying bit, you’re ready to go and then all of a sudden poof, you dead. Then your particles just drift back into the digital world. That was all well and good. I don’t like that you just get put back, fucking the idea of alphamon asking you to stay in the digital world is like FUCK YES! Then hell maybe even set up a sequel or something and be like, right, you memory fragments are scattered around the digital world, try and gather them all to try and return! But no, you digimon just show up and it’s like, “They hold memories of you that i can program back into your body!” Which was hard to justify but whatever. 

Then yeah, no one remembers anything except for those involved and the timeline bullshit happens and then it’s over! The end! 

I dunno I just... it felt all over the place and just kinda non committal in it’s delivery of the plot and the ending which i didn’t even really engage in past the boss fight which was fair enough, it reminded me of a final fantasy boss fight but unlike in final fantasy it didn’t have the story or the personal connection to really follow it through. 

*sigh*
