Font personalities
Font personalities are something that designers must consider when planning a project. The font style should target the audience that the project is trying to influence.
* San-serif fonts have nice, clean edges and are easily read. These fonts are used universally by almost any type of business.
* If the goal is to appear more serious or sophisticated you may want to use a serif font style.
* Artsy, creative you may elect to choose a script font.
* College student- headline with slab-serif
Shown below is an interesting little poster that I found on digitalsynopsis.com “What different types of fonts mean and how to use them.”

Failure to properly identify the right font personality for your target audience could mean a weak or negative response.
There are even some studies that suggest that some font styles are more popular with people who themselves have certain personality types.
“The top three fonts to reach people who have stable personalities are Times New Roman, Arial and Cambria; compared with Impact, Rockwell Xbold and Georgia for assertive people, and Gigi, Kristen and Rage Italic for creative types”

This idea of fonts reaching certain personalities is interesting. I find myself looking at the three examples I posted trying to figure out which one speaks to me the most. How about you, find one that really appeals to you?
