Hello, world.

I have vaginismus. I was diagnosed literally two days ago - though many who have vaginismus know symptoms existed long before diagnosis (read: years before diagnosis). I did some research on vaginismus before I ever knew I had it. For the past couple days I’ve searched far and wide on tumblr to find others’ stories. I am thrilled to know I’m not alone. There seems to be a nice community of supports on here, which is good.

One thing I’m hoping to contribute is step-by-step information on how my physical therapy goes, including what these damn dilators look like, and the pace the physical therapist sets for me. I plan to describe each appointment and each exercise I’m given in the hopes it provides some help to others who may be interested. Of course, this is simply an account of my experience, so I can’t say for certain it could be or should be generalized or taken as a treatment plan.
