It is the first time that the two of them have ever really touched. Rowan could feel the cold radiating off of Sebastian, but when his hand actually touches him it’s something else entirely. It’s unexpected, and without thinking, he flinches back a bit.

“It doesn’t…” He shakes his head. “It doesn’t bother me. I’m just not used to people being so cold.” And it doesn’t help that the difference is so stark. But he finds himself reaching back out to not just touch the other, but to actually hold his hand.

fiyero looked at elphaba as she rested on his shoulder. they had been walking for days, barely resting. they had left oz for good, and he was shockingly happy. he would miss his family, but in truth, he had been so lost since elphaba had been made an outcast, and his search for her, that now they were together, he felt a sense of peace. she was finally sleeping, and he did not want to wake her, but they had to keep moving. they weren't yet far enough where no one would recognize them or find them. ❝elphaba, elphaba, are you up?❞ he said softly, kissing her head

"What you are is a mistake."

It comes out harshly, Victor glaring up at his creation. He doesn't know what good he thought would come from this. Part of him thought he might be able to understand him, that maybe some of his empathy would kick in and he could see eye to eye with the creature, but no, it is not so. In fact, all he feels is utter disgust: at himself, at the creature, at everything that has happened up to this point.

He lets out a breath and turns away, pushing a hand through his hair. Victor wishes he could go back in time and undo it all, wishes he could undo the frenzy that overtook him in his desire to see this done. He can say it's for science, but how much of it is knowledge and how much was just pure ego?

Ordinarily, Tadhg hates attending events like this. He usually only goes because his sister needs someone to escort her. They're vastly different. She enjoys dressing up and waltzing around a ballroom, whereas he'd rather be at home in his woodworking studio.

However, now there's another reason to attend.

He watches Aslan moving around the room, a secret smile of admiration forming on his lips. Their relationship still feels new. Fresh. Exciting. He can't remember the last time he'd felt like this. Or the last time that he'd allow himself not to worry and just enjoy someone else's company. It has been a refreshing change of pace.

Last thing she remembered, she'd been running out into a thunderstorm, the lights of a lone convenience store and the shouts of its owner fading into the distance... and a bag of stolen chips clutched to her chest, that snack lost somewhere, snatched by a sudden and wildly powerful gust of wind as she tripped. And now, her head was throbbing. The sodden roads and culverts, lit only by sparse streetlights, gone. All fields. And a strange man. A scarecrow with blinking eyes.

She didn't know what else to do, so she called out. Birdie shouldn't have been shocked when he spoke back; it was clear he was alive... how, she didn't have a clue, but her head was hurting way too much for her to really think a lot, yet.

it comes out of nowhere. in fact, the impact is almost enough to bowl galinda over. she stumbles for only a second, the wall keeping her steady as elphaba crowds her. hands on her face, messy and desperate, does she bring them together, and galinda's mind races with only one thought: finally.

hands find purcahse on elphaba's waist, and the blonde can't help but sink into the feeling, to let herself wrap around her friend. ( though she has a feeling that line is now thoroughly crossed, and she certainly won't complain one bit. ) her mind rushes with questions, with why now and what does this mean and do you know how much this means to me.

"Not originally, I guess. I'm here to play hockey."

They had been making eyes at each other throughout the day at the gym. Rowan couldn't help it, the stench of death was kind of hard to ignore, and it was coming right from this stranger. The guy might as well have a neon sign over him with the word VAMPIRE written on it.

And Rowan personally had nothing against vampires, but all the ones he ran into didn't often seem to be a big fan of him.
