also the ending where Dean doesn't pick up Sam's call is so important because it's one of the few times in his entire life he doesn't drop everything for Sam, like he knows Sam's call is pretty damn urgent, but what just happened broke him beyond even his deepest programming, like this isn't Single Manly Tear territory he is full-on breaking down sobbing while his baby's essentially crying in the other room and for once he can't just pull himself together and pretend he's fine
