I am obsessed with this character. I adored whenever he showed up at all, but there is a moment, a heart stopping moment in Dreams From The Edge Of Nowhere, in which, he addresses you, the person reading it, directly. That moment? It got me, I had to set the book down, it was a passage that made me sit up straight, eyes wide, it was intense to say the very least! I had to read it a few times over, it really brought me back into myself, it gave a feeling of being watched that was crazy.

There are so many moments that he cuts in and comments on what is going on and inserts himself and becomes a bigger part of the story, talking about it, bringing you into these moments, it creates this fascinating relationship where you are not just the viewer, it makes you feel much more active than previously. You get the sense there is blame, like this is only happening because you are there to view it, are wanting it, craving it! You point fingers all you want when it comes to the horrifying events in these books, on Blossom, on Henry, on the Town or the Cowboy, and more sure, but this is really all happening because YOU, the reader, the audience, demand it!

He brings this to your attention and my GOD if that isn't some stand up and clap, which is just he wants! He wants to entertain and fuck, he does!
