although viola already had two younger sisters, audrey was definitely the closest thing she had to a third. enchanted sleep plagued both of their family histories, but that wasn’t the basis for their friendship. for whatever reason, viola saw a side of audrey that many others chose to ignore, and the girl she knew was one worth protecting. they had been chatting for a while before viola, subtly as she could, broached the obvious problem of the weather. “you know more about fairies than i do -- do you think they’d really be capable of something like this?”

there was only one mode with dude and that was an extremely honest one. as he circled the snowdog, his frown deepened. never mind that snowmen looked literally nothing like any human he’d ever seen. for a snowdog, he expected better. he’d heard about people making sculptures from ice. surely this had to be easier? then again, he couldn’t speak to avery’s artistic skills. “c’mon, man. that looks nothing like me! there isn’t even a tail.”

most people probably wouldn’t tag along with their friend to watch him practice doing...sports things. she didn’t know the right terminology, but regardless, it was fascinating. and the way humans sweat! when hercules jogged over to where she sat waiting on the deserted bleachers inside the gymnasium, she stood up quickly and took advantage of her brief height gain from the strange seating to kiss him gently on the crown of his head. “you did great! i think! ...your hair is very wet. and you...smell. how intriguing!”

“It’s good, I promise.” Personally, Lyla much preferred spiked hot chocolate to coffee, especially when the liquor involved was Baileys. And when she was the person handling the portions, all the better. She handed a mug to Charity before taking a big sip from her own, just to demonstrate how weak it was, then carefully controlled her expression as if she hadn’t just burnt her tongue in the process. “See? Honestly, you can barely taste the alcohol.” For Lyla, this was almost true, but probably not an objective fact.

         “  this is nice  .  ”    of course  ,   with the  BOTH  of their statuses  ,   it was  quite  easy to get a place where they could go  ,   under the radar  .   the two are mid meal in her place  ,   and snow feels  ...  CONTENT  .   it’s the nice thing about having kids not around  ,    nor a husband  .   it  --  gave her room to explore parts of herself that a younger her never had the  ability  to  .   sweet eyes study his dark hair  ,   blue hues  ,   and her own lips hold a soft grin as she brings a glass of wine up to her lips  .     “  to relax  ,   kick back a little  .   we  -  i  needed this  ,   i think  .  ”    outside of this  ...  small net of safety  ,    EVERYTHING  was so chaotic  ,   and stressful  -  on top of everything else with  him  .     @devourcd !

         “  you  are a  bad  influence  .  ”    redhead speaks to his suggestion as if she’s  NEVER  had an idea that has dark influences  .   she is her  FATHER’S  daughter  .   pirate girl leans forward  ,   nose  JUST  brushing against his  ,   as blue eyes fall on her dark hues  .   sometimes  ...  adelaine can’t seem to  CONTROL  herself around him  .   some blush forms on her cheeks  ,   she’ll shake her head and pull away from him  .   there’s a crackle of a record player  ,   heat from the fireplace  .   she didn’t ask him to come here to  seduce  him  ,   instead  ...  she was feeling a bit guilty  ;   ever since being arrested ?   she’s been a bit distant  ,    and she knows he’s noticed  .     “  --  thanks for coming  ,   matteo  .  ”    head will duck down  ,   she hides some of her face behind the curtain of red  .     “  i  ...  couldn’t sleep  .  ”     @devourcd !
