s3 side plot idea. devon starts having doubts about her marriage and confronts ricken about whatever him and natalie are doing. he dodges the question, so she goes to confront natalie instead. very tense conversation, it's pretty clear devon hates her. eventually natalie accidentally lets it slip that she was trying to seduce ricken under explicit orders from lumon, and devon is like. that can't be legal. exploiting a female employee's sexuality for propaganda. and natalie just kind of goes still and looks terrified for a second before doing that "avoiding the question because the board is listening" smile she does. but devon doesn't give up that line of questioning, eventually landing at "are you safe?" and when she doesn't respond, she decides to take matters into her own hands, and begins a season long process of subtly deprogramming natalie when the board isn't looking.
