btw being nonbinary IS transgressive in a society that only acknowledges two genders. it's pretty fucking stupid to imply that being nonbinary is, or has ever been, accepted by society at large. just look at us. we're a punching bag for our own community, and you somehow think we have systemic power. just a few years ago, you were all saying that nonbinary people make trans people "look bad" and that "most nonbinary people are just cis or binary trans but refuse to accept it because they wanna be quirky" and honestly looking at the current state of trans discourse, it feels like a lot of you still think that way, you've just found fun new ways to say it.
