When talking about the OCMAs showcases, Night six can be described as an early finals week. It was truly an amazing night and we compiled the evening into 5 videos for your viewing (and listening) pleasure:
1. Breach the Summit: A very young trio but the passion is there
2. The Devious Means: Took the stage with a vengeance. Unlike a lot of indie bands who give great but passive performances, The Devious Means are no holds barred, over the top. When best live band is in question, this is the type of precedent that should be set.
3. Jeramiah Red: Played new tracks along with crowd favorites, “My Baby” and “Can’t Help Myself.” Kris Butcher (Robert Jon & The Wreck) came on to play guitar which freed up Wes to be able to use the stage more and even jump in the pit to the audiences excitement.
4. Standing Hawthorn: They had a tough gig having to follow Jeramiah Red in front of the demanding audience gathered for Night 6. Unfortunately, the band fell flat with the volume raised too high. Although every band has an off night, the question is to see if these guys know how to recover.
5. Midnight Hour: Despite some initial technical difficulties, the band managed it like pros, never losing touch with the audience. Musically on point, they brought the night to a close with the crowd jumping up and down.
