My favorite music this Friday is...

Technically still "The Precipice" by Jessie Mazin -BUT- for the sake of variety I will share my close second:

"Devine CEO" by LuLuYam!

LuLuYam is an indie artist who is doing something very interesting here. She has designed these characters, composed full songs around/about/"sung by" them, and then taken the songs and designs to create her own animated music video visualizers. Of course, she is not the first musician to create an animated persona singing about their own lives and stories, think Gorillaz and Studio Killers, however I do believe LuLuYam stands out in that her work is ENTIRELY self-produced. Lyrics? LuLuYam. Song composition? LuLuYam. Vocals and recording, song production, character design, character writing, drawings and animations, song marketing, video distribution- ALL of it by just LuLuYam, funded by her patreon (and the relatively few royalties that small indie artists tend to get). One person and the creative trifecta: singing, writing, drawing. She's undoubtedly quite talented, and with a pleasant alto and excellent vocal acting. The song itself is a high energy, sexually charismatic hip-hop type piece, the kind that can really pump you up when you put it on. The kind of charisma that makes you feel like the song is about you. And what can I say? Like the lyrics tell it: "It ain't my fault that I'm the man."
