#devil venerable

This is my first time purchasing a book from this publisher, so I don't know what to expect on the actual translations quality.

The book came with a dust cover, and since this book has an exposed spine it made scanning it easy.

The inside covers made me very happy. (Qiu Congxue can do no wrong)

I will admit, the grammar on the blurbs in these inside covers scares me for the translation quality.

For the pre-order bundle, it also came with 2 book marks which are quotes from Wenren E and Yin Hanjiang,

a small sticker sheet (only scanning this for Qiu Congyue),

a Shikishi Board, an acrylic shelf stand of Wenren E,

and this lovely "Cultivation Gossip Newspaper" which assigns Qiu Congyue, Baili Qingmiao and Shu Yanyan into a love triangle, which I am all for tbh.

If you haven’t already, go read Devil Venerable Also Wants To Know!! I absolutely adore this novel and need the fandom to be bigger. It is absolutely hilarious, yet all the characters feel so genuine. There is a large cast of characters and each are distinct and lovable in their own ways.

Gonna be real, not my favorite cover. The art is good but the logo for the title feels a little off. And I'm scared for the translation considering the description on the back already has so many spelling errors.

So you don't have to squint at the back, here's a transcription of the description, spelling errors not my own;

Is the Devil Venerable comprehending cultivation techiniques... or reading Romance novels? Seven days had passed since the Devil Venerable, Wenren È, had secluded himself in the Xuanyuan Sect headquarters. Not 100% on it being "Alter Master Yuan," it's a bit hard to read with the low quality. There might also be a couple other words that were misspelt that I assumed were correct.

I haven't read Devil Venerable before, but I hope they fix the spelling errors on the back and that the text doesn't have many.

Other exciting thing though, Hai Tang writes; "As a special treat, the author even wrote a fun little gossip piece that comes with our exclusive freebies." So there will be an extra!
