Friday the 13th; typically considered a day of misfortune for most. I find that my luck takes an upward swing most of the time. I’m not SUPER superstitious or anything, but I do believe in omens when I see one. However, this weekend, being Father’s Day weekend, is looking a bit too impacted for my tastes.

I’m still trying to get back into writing; hopefully for money some day, but even just for my own sanity. That’s on short supply these days, especially now with the riots going on in LA. I heard they’re now reaching over to Paramount and San Pedro, not that I have any business there these days. I’m thinking of scouting out new study cafes in orange country, but I don’t even know if I’d be safely removed from the riots to venture out there. The best bet is to just stay home, but it sucks when it’s summer already, and bullshit like that is limiting your options.

Whatever. With any luck, these rioters will be removed swiftly now that the Marines are deployed to that area. Now even more, don’t go to LA, unless you wanna get swept up by the might of the Marine Corps. I heard the unit they deployed were 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines, who are known for heavy aggression, often times spoiling for a fight. Knowing how Marines are, yeah, I’m not going anywhere near LA.
