Sketching out ideas for posters to help frame the film as part of a larger campaign. Did some research - mostly social/political awareness campaign. I want to continue to use the gift box props as dramatic devices. This was slightly more challenging: had to create the poster designs around the props and not the other way around.
Working on posters to support the final film. Need them to provoke questions and thoughts from the viewer.

Pleat folds are create for creating a distorted feel as they interrupt the typographic message. Here I played with using velcro tabs to hold card in place.
Verdict: the velcro is way too strong. Maybe cut tabs or hooks.

After some feedback on the developments of my project the mirror project with the flipped typography on the gift boxes seems too open to interpretation and a bit too fine art for my creative practice.
Now turning my investigations to look at interactive objects that may act like a brochure or information leaflet - returning to paper engineering interests from previous modules.
Investigating bright patterns and food packaging. Thinking of more ways to create a strong rhetoric - “food for thought” - food packaging. Food is a less thought of romantic gift (thinking chocolates) but the range of packaging could lead to interesting outcomes.
Developing initial designs for boxes. Using block colour stripes to cut up the narcissus illustration and overlaying it with flipped hand rendered type.
Tested mini dummies against mirrors - type needs adjusting to be more readable.
