Issues with lighting and colour caste in this early cut of my film made in the studio. Revisiting soon to re-film footage with correct white balance and no need for major colour changes.

Been doing some quick reading on the types of film lighting I may use once I’m in the studio. Will need to check with technician about the kind of lights available.

Soft light seems best but suggestions have been made to three three point film lighting.

The flow of this video fills a bit disjointed:

- narrative gets a bit lost on complicated props

- ending makes little sense/ineligible

Illustrations created as decorations to my film prop gift boxes. The narcissus flower are covering the women’s eyes and mouth to represent distortion of experiences.

Pleat folds are create for creating a distorted feel as they interrupt the typographic message. Here I played with using velcro tabs to hold card in place.

After some thought I’ve decided to pursue the idea of making a video to put across my message about gift giving as a manipulation tool within abusive relationships.

This could collectively bring together a scattered feeling project and help create a coherent message that I can control.

I’ve never made a video before so the task is somewhat daunting.
