Women in Mahabharata - Prabhata
She is a consort of Brahma's grandson and Manu's son Prajapati. Her sons are Pratyusha and Prabhasa, the last two among the ashta-Vasus. She is the grandmother of rishi Devala through Pratyusha and Vishvakarma through Prabhasa. Prabhasa is also noted as the pre-incarnation of Devavrata Bheeshma.
Devala has two sons, and one of them (by only certain sources) is the rishi Shandilya, and a daughter named Suvarchala. Devala is also associated with Dhaumya, the Pandavas' priest. Vishvakarma's daughter Tvashtri/Saranyu is married to Surya, the foremost of the Adityas.
