Deslonde! In college I got to do a wetlands relief volunteering trip to New Orleans that was really cool, and his nest was the first nest I hatched when I got back home! His nestmates got more expected New Orleans related names (Praline, Beignet, and Fleurdelis), but I named this guy, who I wanted to keep, after the street our group was staying on!

And Faclata I just named after a cool Iberian sword c: the name’s way too cool for him tbh adsfads

but yeah Deslonde is 12! He isn’t very interested in dating yet (if he ever will be? hard to say) and since flight rising are supposed to be 13+ I’d say that’s a hard no there anyway (unless you’re actually 13 omg). But like I did with Totality, i can just share some pros and cons of general friendship c:

Pros:

He’s very sweet and friendly! I think he does what he can to make sure other kids are included c:

Considering who his mom is, he probably could tell you so much about birds haha. Relatedly, he’s probably quite gentle considering how much bigger he is than the average bird. He had to learn to be careful and take little steps to not cause unintentional harm sfdafdsaf

gonna be honest i’ve never put much thought into him so i’m not super sure what his interests are yet fadsfdsf some day i’ll give him more characterization. today isn’t that day.

Cons:

Spiky boy. Spiky spiky boy. Not the best for hugs. Or even high fives - he literally has Rough Skin.

He’s pretty shy! He probably doesn’t like talking about himself and getting him to open up can be difficult.
