The suspects were held in the Washington County Jail Sunday morning, according to Sheriff's Office records. Washington County Sheriff RichardStringer said that up to 40 vehicles were towed away when the suspects were arrested at the home near the Mississippi state line. A variety of agencies, including the Alabama Department of Conservation, assisted with investigation. #DogFighting is a Class C #felony in Alabama. It's punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment. The law is applicable to anyone who owns, possesses, keeps or trains any dog with intent of fighting another dog. Even spectators can be charged criminally.
