I’ve changed so many tires on my bike, and now I feel like I’m losing it because this latest tire change has everything out of alignment. I don’t know how to tune a derailleur. It’s too complex and I can’t afford to bring it to a shop. The chain just won’t move, and it seems the front derailleur is the main problem. Wish I could explain it better, but I’m literally not trained/knowledgeable enough to do that🤣🤦♂️Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

we biked to the barangay hall, gf wanted to get a certificate of residency. she went in, i stayed with the bikes. a little old guy came up, expressed interest in our bikes. he was muttering, not expressing himself clearly. he went off and came back with his beat-up old mtb. after a while i understood, apparently his shifter couldn't get his chain to his lowest gear. he'd been pointing to our bikes because we were geared low. i worked his twist shift to 1, spun the pedals, still two gears shy. fiddled with the barrel adjuster on his derailleur, that was enough to get the last bit of movement to first gear. he was happy, asked some questions, was grateful, rode off. got some grease on my fingers but hey, good deed done.
