BREAKING: LALAFELL STAND AS ONE TO SUPPORT MAELSTROM VICTIMS
Merlwyb Bloefhiswyn. The Limsans call her “Admiral”. The rational call her “butcher”. But now, she has been shown the monster The Crucible always knew her to be. In an unprecedented and perfidious attack, the cowardly Maelstrom has forced evacuations all across the coast. Tens of thousands, perhaps even hundreds of thousands, have been displaced by these utter fiends. Forced to seek shelter inland, forced in many cases to abandon not only their homes but even their pets and valuables, despite doing nothing wrong these people have become victims of the terrible force commanded by that utter madwoman.
The Maelstrom forces, doubtless chanting about “sea swallowing all” like a bunch of vore fetishists, have ravaged villages and towns all along Eorzea’s coastlines. One such victim, identified only as “M’ia Mi”, described the devastation as follows:
“It’s horrible. Homes knocked over, people needing boats to save them from the rising floods [presumably of blood], we had to leave so much behind and hope it’s still there when we come back. It’s lucky we had a travel kit ready to go, but there are so many who weren’t able to or didn’t think to be prepared. We have to help them.”
In light of this horrible attack by the Maelstrom, The Crucible is officially rising to the call of an anonymous citizen for all Lalafell to band as one and march in a demonstration of support. The time and place are soon to be divulged, and you can bet your collective arses we’ll be there to help. This is unforgivable. This is one of the most horrible events since the Calamity, and it’s our duty to assist in any way we can.
Don’t let Merlwyb have her way. This Maelstrom must be opposed with every step we take. More need to be made aware of this tragedy, and the displaced victims must be assisted in any way possible.
Minaji Maji isn’t used to advocating for those stricken by poverty, but her resentment of Limsa Lominsa is enough to get her help. For now.
Hurrianes Harvey and Irma are real maelstroms which have caused massive amounts of destruction. This situation is a serious tragedy and it only shows signs of growing worse. @mcstronghuge, a major force for good in this community, is taking a stand in support of the victims, and to encourage donations to aid the victims of this terrible circumstance will be running a special event on a mystery Final Fantasy XIV server tomorrow, September 9th.
