Like Jimbe is just so confused Sanji wants him and then there's a sea king and Sanji keeps trying to fit through the slats of the railing to pet it because 10 month old baby brain is pure impulse. Like babies get jobs soon as they start crawling and those jobs are at the "anything that can injure, fatally or otherwise" factory. I think all the Strawhats are realizing that.
Then you have Mihawk who is kind of just not letting Sanji do anything, not that he seems to mind with Mihawk and then Marco, who within reason, lets Sanji freely explore and do things because it's good for development. But before that? Jimbe is confused and struggling with it. But Sanji is really warm as a baby, he's a cuddle bug. And maybe Jimbe gets him a sea king plushie for while he's tiny.
And maybe Sanji sleeps with it when he's not tiny too.
