You know, I don't remember if I've ever told you this, but your art is, in many ways, something that fills me with some kinda "hope in humanity" joy whenever I see it. In a world where people are so addicted to growing their followings and appeasing an algorithm, you are one of the few people I actually fully believe is drawing just for fun. You always draw whatever you feel is fun, the same characters over and over again with different expressions or with your OCs or in a meme, so on, and it just radiates this childlike joy that I feel so many artists lose over the years. Of course, I'm sure you like followers and interaction too, but it definitely seems like you put yourself first, and it just makes me really happy to follow and see you always doing what you enjoy.
Truthfully, I struggle a lot with numbers. Especially these past few years, I've been basing my talent on the numbers of reblogs/retweets. It's hard to get out of that mindset and back to "Hey, I want to do this because it brings me joy."
But, that said, I still draw what I enjoy, what I want to see out there. So, I do just that, even with the thoughts of, "This will probably flop. But I'm still proud of what I made."
I just draw what I want to draw. If others like what I create, that brings me the most joy of all. If it's fanart or my own silly ocs, whatever strikes my fancy that day. I'm just glad people enjoy what I do, because I enjoy it too. 💙

Yet it is unfortunately quite the platform when it comes to spreading one's artwork and gaining a decent following, such as for commission purposes, and meeting fellow artists. I cannot say whether these pros outweigh the cons in the slightest, but I will say that this is what has kept me here for as long as it has been. The talented individuals, that is.
It’s the same for me. I guess I’ll go on a massive unfollow spree and everytime I see something I negative I’ll have to unfollow. Nothing against the reblogger, but I’d like to keep this place bearable .
