Last time I left the house my mom and I were walking through Walmart and I saw a denim jacket and said "Hey mama I want a denim jacket, denim shorts, denim boots, denim hat, denim EVERYTHING. Call me the Denim King." and then I went on to say "I am the Denim King, give me your jeans!"
My mom was very confused, and by the looks of it so we're the strangers we passed. This went on the entire time we were in the store.
I yelled at strangers "I am the Denim King, give me your jeans" the entire time we were in Walmart and noone seemed bothered, just extremely confused.

Kate Middleton has been a style icon ever since she started dating Prince William and probably even before that with her friends. She, as I tried to show in this trifold picture, can be stylish with her formal events, like that of the blue/green dress, and even when she is casual like that of her blue polka dotted dress. She embodies the style icon of the 2010s because she wears clothes both as a celebrity and as a woman of high class and status. She is the next in line for the princess role and she wears clothes that any simpleton, standard person can wear. As a future queen, she is modest and conservative in what she wears yet is modern in the style in which she wears them. For example, her polka dotted dress shows off her legs very well however it covers just enough to be still considered modest especially since in the picture, and the time she was wearing this dress, she was pregnant with little Prince George. In the early 2000s, the floaty dress style was very popular and here we see her in the blue green dress with it being light and floaty as it flows with the breeze in the photograph. She constantly sets the standard for high class and modern and will continue to do so through her reign as princess.

The denim outfit was an extreme icon for the early 2000s. When you Google style from the early 2000s, this is something that pops up right away. This outfit is celebrated still to this day as People magazine wrote a whole article dedicated to its 15th birthday. Jeans have been popular since the 1920s and maybe even before then. They started to boom more and more throughout the decades and in the 2000s they became a staple. If you didn't own a pair of jeans, you were the minority. The early 2000s, as said in our book, showed off denim with bedazzles, rips, and tears. Here we see this style of jeans in their outfit. Brittany's dress in particular looks as though the train was just ripped as the ends are frayed which was popular for jeans in this era. Her dress, as well as the dress on Katy Perry, is patched together with different shades of denim pieced together to make one whole dress contributing to the "artist's" work. Funny enough, this outfit is made into high fashion as the couple add "bling" to their look with diamond encrusted earrings and choker necklaces. This outfit is so outrageous that it will just be an icon for years to come. I wonder what our grandchildren will think of our style.... *Proceeds to bury head in sand*
