I kinda want to see an image of Grimm meeting Shadow for the first time. Though Grimm is trying his best not to have a nervous breakdown due to Shadow making him feel in danger.
Funny thing is, I imagine rather than nervous Grimm (Troupemaster one) had a sense of companionship the moment they met/the moment he realized Shadow's existence. Shadow, in some way that they didn't realized yet, resembles Grimm a tiny bit in their role.
At least HotS is tagged with Grimm Troupemaster is not NKG (I will only add that once Grimm appeared in the story, which actually will be a long while before he will appear or even mentioned). So while the Troupemaster had a sense of companionship, NKG on the other hand is a mix of neutrality and interest. NKG recognize who's behind Shadow almost immediately once Ghost invites the troupe into Hallownest.
And while also talking about them, might as well sharing this relationship chart between some Higher Beings of Hallownest and Shadow of Hallownest! This is just the short easy to ingest version of what I have in my mind and on my own notes
