Kazuma had been to a law firm on this island, had even applied for a job there, but now his eyes were set on the courthouse. Reworking the legal system had long been a goal of his, but in this new territory he wasn’t yet accustomed to the legal system. He didn’t know how much was the same or how much was completely different to what he was used to, and this island was not short on surprises thus far, to say the least.

Perhaps he could sit in on a trial that’s open for viewing of the public. Or perhaps even he could pay a visit to the prosecution, and meet the head prosecutor. There’s a likely probability he’s going to face these people in court, so he might as well become acquainted- to him the rivalry with the prosecution is nothing personal, unless the prosecutor in question makes it so.

He just hopes the chief prosecutor isn’t anything like that stuck-in-his-ways man Auchi that he had to deal with.

Once he arrives, he decides to go with the latter, with the idea to view a trial being reserved for later. As such, Kazuma makes his way up to the chief prosecutor’s office, and knocks on the door. Once allowed in, he bows his head in greeting.

Perfect. 

See, the attempt to get to know Miles Edgeworth better (among other things) over chit-chat at the Isolaween party… it hadn’t gone over too great. Travis had all the hallmarks to blame, too: a downright comical lack of chemistry and/or common interests, and a decided non-lack of conversation-cutting interruptions; Something which would’ve been mutually deemed a god-given mercy… if, y’know, Travis hadn’t needed to ask Miles something.

But in this broken-down elevator, there laid a second chance. In this pitch-black space, there laid the perfectly cliche ‘character bonding’ scenario! And Travis was just about to finally open his mouth and put it to work, when Edgeworth beat him to the verbal punch.

Oh.

Oh, he had a phobia, didn’t he?

Perfect. 

“Don’t worry,” Travis said simply, confidently, like he was about to pull something over-the-top, heroic, borderline insane. And judging by the way his hand drifted towards Blood Berry’s hilt, and his eyes toward the ceiling above… 

Yeah. 

“I’ll have us out in a jiffy!”

Klavier isn’t really sure what’s going on. One moment everything was normal, and the next...? Well, he went to the only place he thought he could find answers. Luckily due to the circumstances he had his boss’s keys, so he decided to send Edgeworth a text, and wait in the Chief Prosecutor’s office.

“Ah! Good morning, Herr Edgeworth.” He’s sitting on Miles’s desk, a guitar on his lap, and paperwork left untouched beside him.

Huh, this was weird. Dot wasn’t sure when they’d used transform- wait, hadn’t their transform ability been limited? Well.... cool! That meant that it was back to normal! 

“Hey, Miles, did you know that people are mean?”

“Um.... sir? Are you doing alright there?” It was clear to her by now that something was going on in this city, but whatever it was it seemed as though Iris wasn’t exactly ‘taking part’. That didn’t mean she was just going to sit at home, though- people were major freaking out, and she wanted to help.

Of course, it was a little weird to be trying to ‘help’ when someone was standing a solid foot off the ground on some invisible platform, but she’d roll with it. Maybe there’d be a l*ns of tr*th around here, like from those legend of zegend games! Hah, not likely- this was real life. But still.... weird.
