Just a Stranger
*spoilers ahead, I guess*
Mae: "We are going to forget each other after a few days. And we'll be strangers again in no time."
Jericho: "Forget each other? Ano ka, ulyanin?"
I thought this movie would just be like the usual infidelity-themed films. I did not expect na makaka-relate ako sa story. Not because of the part where they cheated on their partners, but the part when the girl fell in love with the younger guy. It was almost exactly how it was for me back then (excluding the *scenes*). He'd stick around, make you feel important, mangungulit siya, magiging clingy. Tapos ikaw, since ikaw 'yong mas matanda, kunyari strong pero tinatablan ka din naman ng kilig. Tapos unti-unting na-fall.
Then when you start to feel the need for assurance, that's when things start to get messy. Kasi ano ba tayo? Hindi niya gugustuhin ng commitment kasi hindi pa siya brave enough for it, or hindi pa siya matured enough like you. Hindi pa siya man enough to make a decision para mag-stay sa'yo.
Then you'd wait; wait for him, wait for the time na baka bumalik siya at pwede nang maging maayos lahat between the two of you. Tapos ikaw ang masasaktan. Kasi hindi mo alam kung gaano katagal kang maghihintay, or kung may point ba 'yong paghihintay mo...
"Nahanap ko sa 'yong mga mata
Ang ligayang dati 'di ko makita
Nasilip ng aking pusong ligaw
Nang tinuturo ng tadhana ay ikaw..."
