     “--Oh, hey; do you live around here? I think I’m kinda lost.” Or maybe totally lost. For a kid who spent sixteen years living in Tokyo, he sure had no idea where the hell he was. But then again, Yongen-Jaya wasn’t exactly his home neighborhood.

“i  don’t  agree  with  your  justice!”  haru’s  fists  clench  like  the  claw  at  her  heart,  curled  and  sharp  at  the  palm  of  its  underside,  her  face  pained.  “i  didn’t  become  a  phantom  thief  to  see  you  decide  who  deserves  to  live  or  die.  this  isn’t  right.”  her  bottom  lip  trembles,  a  ripple  in  her  usual  quiet.  “i  quit.”

   they  wouldn’t  be,  if  he  told  ikki  about  everything  he  suspects  already.  everything.  all  of  it.  all  kinds  of  ulterior  moves:  from  the  worst  to  the  most  basic,  like  simply  not  moving,  let  him  brush  his  hair,  stay  quiet.  quiet  as  to  not  reveal  his  voice,  because  he  has  not  excuse  to  be  shivering  from  the  touch.  in  unfamiliarity,  and  certainly  not  endearment.  he  doesn’t  think  it’s  endearment.  it  won't  be.  (  please  say  it  won't  be  ).

   akechi  doesn’t  know  what  he’s  looking  for  when  he  turns  around.  his  eyes,  of  course,  but  he’s  missing  something.  an  admission  of  guilt,  or  anything  that’d  give  him  a  clue.  a  piece  of  his  mind.  but  they  don’t  share  much  today  as  it  is.  not  words,  only  the  touch  akechi  hesitates  to  reciprocate.  so  he  doesn’t.  he’d  never  risk  anything  purposefully.  instead,  offers  what  he  does  best,  smile,  never  forgetting  to  close  his  eyes.
