i mean, like, those small moments where its not like "i hav daddy issues" and then "same" but moments where satan appreciates you for knowing what he feels like yk?

- he noticed this pretty quickly too. even if it small, subtle, moments, he still notices.

when mammon would say "yeah but lucifer's practically your dad" he could see the look on your face. the pity you felt for him. at first, he would assume you're mocking him by feeling bad for him and ignored it, ignored you.

but then when you started defended him, that's when it all came together. the uncomfortable shifts when they start picking on him for that, when you let out a laugh when he offends lucifer instead of scolding him or being like "shh he's gonna hear you", when he asks about your family and you never mention you dad

it was weird when you first defended him. it was one of the first times he saw you being genuinely nervous. "can you guys not? satan obviously doesn't like whenever you pick on him for that"

he smiles, the brothers defintely stopped a bit after that scolding, not completely though. but they stopped infront of you anyway, and thats almost.. all the time so.

at first, he doesnt know what to do with his theory. out of all the theories and ideas he's had, this was defintely a weird one. he used to think about asking you, but if it was true, it'd defintely not be a happy subject. i mean, someone can't have a healthy dad and have daddy issues. so it's obvious SOMETHING happened. even if it's small or big, he knows that something your dad did wasn't right, and he knew asking you was way too bold. even for a demon as smart as him.

daddy issues form out of smthing traumatic, and he'd know that better than anyone. when he does ask about your father, he's really careful to not trigger any bad memories. he lets you rant all you want about him, holding you in his arms. you wanna cry? go ahead. whine on how you hate him? go ahead. whine about how you miss him? go ahead. whine about how you wish you spent more time with him? go ahead. whine about how you wish you hadn't grown up so fast, and spent more time with him as a child? go ahead. rant all you want about your father, about ANYTHING. he's here to listen.
