To him it maybe the most important… Seeing as how, the didn’t come to her graduation.
Even though we didn't get to see her family, my personal head canon is that they were there. I can see him not showing up for competitions since he thinks that her singing dreams are "unreasonable and insane", but I don't think he'd miss graduation. I just imagine him as a guy who thinks education is very important.
