Taken as the decommissioned ferry was waiting to be towed to Ensenada, MΓ©xico where it was scrapped later that year. The Klickitat had a long history. Originally built in the 1920s for use on San Francisco Bay, in 1940 after completion of the Bay Bridge the boat was sold to Puget Sound Navigation Company (the Black Ball Line), a precursor of Washington State Ferries, Originally called MV Stockton, the renamed Klickitat served on Puget Sound from 1940 to 2007.
