Iâm searching for a Lucifer fic that had like hundreds of chapters. Thereâs a story about him and baby Rory going shopping and she wants to sit in the front seat with him but sheâs too little. And somebody used a pic of a guy in a suit and a little girl climbing into a luxury car. The guy is holding a dior bag I think and a little teddy bear bag.

âYou donât go on dates. Youâve never been on a date," Maze points out. "What are you gonna do if it goes to shit?â Thereâs barely any concern in her eyes, just plain curiosity. âItâs not like you can ghost her in her own home.â
Lucifer frowns. âWhy would it go to shit?â
Maze quirks her split brow.
âIâm having dinner with her, Maze. Not performing an open heart surgery.â He pours a little more whiskey into his glass. âWhat could go wrong?â

Summary:
Slowly and quietly, she curls her wrist, reaching for her sleeve. The bobby pin slips free. She forces her breathing to remain steady and sluggish. She finds the crimped end and straightens the metal out into one long piece. The chain jingles as she fidgets. Peppermint glances over, but returns to studying the hallway. The process of getting the ends into the latch lock is painstaking. The metal presses into her wrist hard, but yet not to the point of cutting.
She twists the end into the lock holding the latch and freezes at the small click. She counts to thirty, but Peppermint doesnât bother to turn.
âSo,â she says, getting his attention. Itâs a risk, having him look at her while she does this, but she needs information, and Peppermint is the only one who seems disposed toward conversation. âWanna tell me why Iâm here?â

When Chloe and Lucifer have to sacrifice their Halloween for a stakeout, they find themselves in an admittedly creepy theater. And Chloe soon finds that the Devil isn't as resilient to the spooks of the paranormal afterall.
my contribution to @thedeckerstarnetworkââs Incredible Exchange! happy halloween, @missielynneâ :)
Summary: Chloe receives a letter from John Constantine about the end times. Lucifer tears it into pieces, laughing. (ft. platonic soulmates lucifer & chloe)
-
âAnd one day soon, the Devil shall bring upon the end of all worlds? Well, this is preposterous, they donât even tell you when this is supposedly coming to pass,â Lucifer says, tearing up the delicately written scroll Chloe had given to him.
Chloe reaches out to try to stop him but realizes itâs too late, balling her hand up in a fist, instead. âLucifer, thatâsâwhatever, I know you donât like this kind of stuff, because, well, youâre the Devil and if anyoneâs going to know what youâre going to do next, thenââ
âIt would be me! Yes, thank you, Detective. Where on Earth did you even get this? Youâre not usually the type to pick up apocalyptic preaching about me from random men on the streetâwell, at least, not anymore.â
Lucifer picks up his drink from the table and leans back in his seat, still lost in thought. Chloe finally sits down next to him, rubbing her hands on her knees and thighs in the way she does when sheâs usually thinking.
âItâs from a⊠reliable source,â she says, looking away.
Lucifer stares her down, offended. âKeeping secrets now, are we? What happened to being partners?â
âHe told me you wouldnât believe it if it came from him.â
âClearly, I donât believe it either way, so come on then,â Lucifer gestures at her. âSpit it out.â
âFine. It was from John,â Chloe says. âConstantine.â
Lucifer pauses for a second, and another, before breaking out into a laugh. âDetective, sometimes I forget that there is a sense of humour in there somewhere.â
âYeah, well. He clearly went through a lot of trouble to send me this message. Isnât he still...â
Chloe canât bring herself to say the words.
âTime-travelling, yes,â Lucifer says.
The words still make Chloe visibly upset. Itâs rather adorable, really. âWhy canât he just, you know, magically send you a message?â
âAngels arenât permitted to break the flow of the space-time continuum,â Lucifer replies. âDad gets a little testy when we do that. Of course, now that the mortals have figured out how to do it, the rules are being contested by my other siblings, but in any case, magic is too complicated to pass through time.â
âSo you donât believe it at all? Johnâs message, about the collapsing of worlds and everything?â
âOf course not,â Lucifer stands up. âCome now, Detective, youâre not usually one to worry about such things. I think a drink should do you some good. Has that offspring of yours been keeping you up? Or is it Dan these days?â
Chloe rolls her eyes, but follows him to the bar anyway. Lucifer goes straight for the whiskey shots, sliding one over to her as she sighs and accepts that sheâs going to need to start keeping track of the time from now on. Itâs been a while since sheâs spent time with Lucifer outside work.
And if itâs going to be the end of the world, well.
She drinks down the shot and finds the Devil with an amused smile, leaning over from behind the bar.
âWhat?â she asks.
âOh, nothing. Justâthe last time you thought I was going to bring about the end times, I was afraid that we could never have this again. This partnership. To be honest, Detective, that was the closest I had ever felt to bringing about the apocalypse.â
âLucifer,â Chloe says, gently.
He quickly straightens himself up and raises his hands, âLetâs not get too sappy now, all right. I know you can barely contain yourself, which is why I spoke for the both of us. No further comment required.â
Chloe reaches out to hold his hand over the bar. âNo further comment, then, partner.â
