I wonder what happened between their childhood and adulthood for them to be at odds and no longer as close as it seems they would be.
Of course, Gaew isn't exactly a nice person, but I don't think he was meant to be a true villain. I feel like it's what he experienced that made him so bitter and angry at everyone and everything. I don't excuse his actions because he did bad things and wasn't nice to anyone, but I still wish we'll have some scenes to explain how he ended up this way.
In the lakorn version, I think Karakade and Kadesurang had one conversation in the spirit realms about why everything happened this way. I hope Gaew and Great will also get the same one. If not, I hope Great will be able to understand Gaew. They are different, but they share the same face. Perhaps, Great is Gaew's redemption.
Love Destiny has one of the best first episodes of all time purely because they set up with a scene of these two sweet little boys promising to take good care of each other and be best friends for eternity and then it cuts to 10 years later and one of them murders an innocent woman and then the other uses a magic spell to kill him.

Now, I wonder if the gods didn't know they had to help Dech keep this "friendship" last until the end of time and so they gave him Great who would be better suited to keep it than Gaew was.
Or perhaps, Gaew could only be his friend, but Great would be his "dearest" friend.
