They say eyes are the mirror windows of the soul, but lets talk about the real thing and why you should probably keep them clean.

Whether you prone to breaking them or you just like letting toothpaste build up on your reflection; it's best that you build a routine dealing with mirror hygiene. Sounds silly, i know. But, you can never know what's lurking between that silver plated glass.

Believed to seal away hidden worlds or even just the reflections of your own soul, mirrors often found themselves locked and covered with a swipe of finger or a simple cloth. Hesitant of what lays beyond, only a brave few would test the reflective waters with only a candle lighting their path.

Some would say to never face two together, as it's like two magnets searching for one point to connect. And others would tell you never to place them above or in front of where you lay for the fear of your soul being trapped as you sleep.

And of course, there's the select few that pay no mind to the superstition as they've already locked, guarded, warded and whatever steps they've deemed necessary to shield themselves from otherworldly energies.

“Are you guys sure this a good idea?” Three bodies were cramped and buried under the mess that was the decade old mini van. Years of wear and tear from sticky fingered children had warped the cushions, and the few lingering fries from Aliayah’s lunch had found a new roof under Simone’s white shoes. The van sat running on the curb, with a full view of the rickety and estranged church across the street. Yet, as empty as the street was, the walkway to the building was overflowing with people. Grace watched from the front seat—the only one void of stray food and various stains—as the line swarmed the doors with a sense of unnatural eagerness. “Are you sure you didn’t have time to clean your car?” Simone muttered, peeling smooshed potatoes from her soles with pinched fingers.
