I found this fella in Mandarake Osaka and he turned out to be an Osaka-specific collab between Dearmine and Dolk for lunar new year 2019
New year, new project!
I'm all about the Helliverse right now. I also managed to score a gorgeous Dearmine "Dune" BJD earlier this year.
Here he is with two different glass glitter eyes (left,) but I ordered a specialty set of black glass eyes (right.)
I *love* how these look on him!!
So I pulled the Tonner brand charcoal grey wool trousers and button up white shirt from a costume set (that I'm desperately trying to rebrand.) I sewed in the suspenders using black grosgrain ribbon, and faked arm garters and a bowtie with red elastic.
I added a set of black batwings from Bast's Garden and some awesome props for a preliminary photo shoot!
Now I just need to make his sleeve covers, properly designed wings and tail, and dig out a top hat. I'm also going to make eyebrows and ear details for his face. He needs visible buttons in a few places, too.
But I'm delighted with all of it so far.

Ok, I need some help deciding if I'm going to swap out his eyes.

My poor boy.
He keeps flipping his feet "up", which is super weird.
I've been having the worst time getting him to pose. He's got these massive feet but I can't get him to stand right...
...because his feet are on the wrong legs.
I don't know how or when this happened. Did he come from Dearmine like that? Did his previous owner restring him and get confused? There's no excuse for it; his feet and ankle ball-joints are labeled "L" and "R".
So now his feet are right, and he even *sits* better.
I can't help but feel that he's much more comfortable.
I got my used Dearmine Dune and he was wearing some very high quality clothing. I assumed that it was from Dearmine but I see that the label has an "R" in it, and a symbol that looks like a rabbit, maybe?
Does anyone recognize this label? The clothing is well finished, has real pockets, and all the buttons are actually functional.
I can't believe my luck!
This is a Dearmine special edition cocoa skin "Dune" from around 2012. He is gorgeous, and has a "flaw" that is really exciting to me; the cocoa color is gently fading to a soft green!
His hands and face are already showing a soft greenish color. This was the outfit he arrived wearing; it's kind of steampunk, and expertly made. All those buttons are functional!!
So I introduced him to my other 1/4 scale Anthro (Fiona the Fox Spirit) and we played with wigs.
