Please enjoy yet another imagine that has been floating around in my head for awhile!Â
It was a cold Winter morning, in the Michigan woods. Deciding to step out onto the cabin porch, you could see every breath you took. Soaking it all in, made you feel calm. There was a storm that was about to hit, but you werenât sure when. The Gates of Hell have been opened, and all Hell was about to break lose. It was the âCalm Before the Stormâ so to speak.Â
Moments like these, didnât come around too often. The warmth radiating off the mug that was warning your hands. It was a spur of the moment trip, deciding that it would be good for both you and Castiel to take a little break. Charlie, had called you with a â911Ⲡhacking emergency, there was a little bit of humor in the situation. Since, Charlie had been the one to teach you, now you were the one to teach her, a âStudent has surpassed, the master,â situation if you will. You knew that Charlie would find the humor in it, so you had to tell her. The reaction you revived from her was unexpected, she snorted and wheezed with laughter.Â
Sometimes, on the rarity, you missed being ânormalâ. Meaning, that you wished you could have everything and everyone you had now, minus the constant impending doom looming over head.Â
âWhatâs bothering you?â a monotone voice pulled you from your thoughts.
âOh you know, the end of the world as we know it, just normal things.â
You were close to all the boys, however Jack and Castiel seemed to cling to you like a lifeline, it didnât bother you because it made you feel needed, like you had a sense of purpose.
âYou shouldnât worry about that. The world is in great hands, between you, Sam and Dean.â
âDonât forget about you and Jack.â
âYes, but weâre not hunters.â
âThat doesnât mean anything.â
Castiel smiled at your comment. Standing next to you, it was silent. Not an awkward silence, but a calming, in the moment type of silence.Â
âWe should probably pack up the car. We have a long drive ahead of us.â
âI donât know why you insisted on driving, I couldâve just-â
âThen you wouldnât get the full human affect Cas.â
âWhat does driving long hours have to do with that?â
âThatâs called a âRoad tripâ Cas. People often do it for fun, and vacations.â
âWhy would someone want to do that?â
Sometimes the angel baffled, you in amusement. You couldnât stop the slight shake of the head, and smile that spread across your face.Â
âGood morning, my fellow Nerds.â A cheery and chipper voice sounded.
âGood morning, Charlie.â You and Cas both said in unison.Â
âWe should be heading back.âÂ
The three of you walked to your car and loaded it both your suitcases.
âHere. Itâs a little something I made. Itâs full of some of our favorite soundtracks from various movies.â
âThanks Charlie. Uh, you do know that we donât really use CDâs anymore right?â
âYeah, but I thought this was cooler.â
Letting out a giggle, you responded, âYeah I suppose it is.â
Castiel made his way over to the both of you, âThanks Charlie. Y/N. What is it?â
âItâs a CD Cas. People put a blank CD into their Desktop or Laptop, and âBurnâ music onto, and then you put it into your CD player in your card or your portable CD player. Then the music thatâs on the CD, plays.â
âOhh that makes sense. I think I got it. Whatâs a Desktop?â
âItâs a-â
âLet it go, Y/N. Or we will be here for the next six hours explaining things.â Charlie giggled.Â
âYeah, youâre right.â
âArenât I always?â
âShut up.â
With that Charlie stood outside, waving goodbye at you and Cas, while you were leaving. The drive was so long, you and Cas made various stops along the way. Dean had been texting you what felt like every few minutes. You and Dean were Best Friends, however, you had developed feelings for the guy. There was a sudden change in his actions over the past year, he wasnât flirting with girls at the bars, he hadnât been bringing any girls home. He was suddenly, interested in your âNerd Shows,â as he called them. It was like he was trying to impress someone. Whoever she was, you were jealous.Â
Once, you arrived back at the bunker, you and Cas each grabbed your bags making your ways to your rooms. It was 1:30am, you both tried to be as quiet as you could, biding your âGood Nightsâ to each other.
Opening your door, your were surprised to see the scene before you. Dean was fast asleep cuddled up in your bed. He mustâve missed you a lot. Dropping your bag silently, you made your way to your attached bathroom to change into your pajamas.
Dean was now starting to stir. Quickly, making your way to the Opposite side of the bed you climb in.
âY/N?â A deep groggy husky voice sounded.
âYeah, itâs me.â
âSâGood youâre back.â Catching you off guard, he wrapped an his left arm around your waist, pulling you to him, while he nuzzled your neck. His warmth radiating in your cold room.
âI missed you kid.â
âI missed you too, Winchester.â
âGood to know Sweetheart.â
A comfortable silence took over.
âSweetheart?â
Mumbling half asleep you responded, âYeah?â
âDid you ever go to prom?â
âHuh? Dean, whatâre you getting at? Itâs four in the morning.â
âForget it.â
Sighing with regret you answered, âNo, I didnât go to prom. Nobody wanted to go with me.â
âThatâs a shame Sweetheart. Now look at you, saving everyoneâs asses.â
âI suppose. Why do you ask?â
âNo reason. Letâs go to sleep.â
Dean woke up before you. Tomorrow, was your birthday and he was determined to make it the best birthday youâve ever had.
âSo you want to throw her a âPromâ for her birthday?â Sam asked in disbelief.
âThatâs the plan.â
âUh huh, right. And where do you suppose this is going to happen?â
Dean held his arms out, as if the answer was obvious.
âRight here in the bunker. Comeâon keep up, Sammy Boy.â
Crossing his arms, he shot his brother a classic, Sam Winchester Bitch Face.
âAnd I suppose you want my help.â
âObviously.â
âNo.â Sam stated quickly.
âSam, itâs for Y/N. She deserves something nice to be done for her.â
Sighing in defeat, Sam knew he was right. Y/N, was his best friend and he knew she deserved for world, especially since they had pulled her into the Hunting world.
âFine. For, Y/N.â
âGood, but she canât know.â
Suddenly, catching both men off guard, you stepped into the library.
âWhat canât she know?â Your innocent voice asked
